Our brown ale is slightly hoppier than its English counterpart. The select specialty malts bring an intense sweet caramel and nutty flavor with notes of biscuit and fruit. The medium-dry finish lingers on the palate with aromas of malt and hops.

This American style Black IPA, also known as Cascadian Dark Ale, balances moderate roast character with medium-high hop bitterness. The distinct citrus, grapefruit and slight pine characteristics of the hops complement the roasted malt flavor and aroma of this Black IPA creating all the attributes you would expect in an American Style IPA.

IPA is probably the most popular style in this country.  Try something a little different with this black IPA kit.  Carafa malt adds a lot of color, search but not a lot of roast for a little extra body and flavor than your typical IPA.

California Common is an amber-colored, moderately malty beer with a pronounced hop bitterness.  This style uses a lager yeast, but is fermented at ale temperatures which produces some subtle fruity esters.  No need to go out in search of a hard-to-find commercial example of this style, you can brew your own!

Munich and chocolate malts combine to create a darker, maltier version of its lighter counterpart, Hefeweizen. Amber-brown in color yet medium-bodied with a slightly sweet, bready flavor. A specialty wheat yeast produces the characteristic phenols found in traditional Weizens.

Much like our hefeweizen kit, but with a caramel and malty fullness.  This mahogany brown beer especially hits the spot during the cooler months of the year.

Dusseldorf Altbier is another German style that is not commonly found in the United States, so why not brew one yourself?  An assertive hop bitterness is well balanced by sturdy malt character making this a nicely complex, but clean beer.
